Volunteering, grassroots, letters and petitions, direct lobbying, litigation, consumer boycotts, selective purchasing ordinances, ethical investing, economic sanctions, demonstration, civil disobedience (including money-wrenching and similar direct actions), agitation, career - becoming a full time advocate/activist as a career, armchair.
